MobiFlight 11.2, Update Guidance, Required Settings, New Installer
Alongside MobiFlight's latest update, we're pleased to introduce a related package of improvements.
MobiFlight 11.2
The release of MobiFlight 11.2 brings several improvements that we know you'll appreciate, including UI and usability changes and bug fixes.
Double-click to Open
One change we’re especially pleased to see is support for opening .mcc and .mfproj Aircraft Profiles directly:
Close MobiFlight
Double-click the .mcc or .mfproj file
MobiFlight starts and opens the profile automatically
Combined with automatic Controller Bindings introduced earlier in the year, MobiFlight is much more streamlined, particularly for newer pilots.

New Firmware Guidance
MobiFlight 11.2 also includes new firmware, optimised for improved performance with more complicated setups containing large numbers of inputs and outputs.
Firmware updates make changes directly to your device, so a reliable USB connection is important. If you choose to update, we now advise:
Firmware updates should only be accepted when the device is plugged directly into the back of your PC (no USB hub, adaptor or extension device).
For most Circuit Avionics pilots, the firmware update is not essential and can be skipped.
Software Updates Guidance
In relation to MobiFlight software updates, we now advise:
Updates may be offered on installation, and on other occasions.
You don't have to update right away, and your hardware will work fine without any updates. Over time, you might miss useful new features.
For existing users, the installer applies one Required Setting, and updates MobiFlight if necessary, while preserving all other settings.
The new installer removes MobiFlight's prompt to convert third-party hardware into a MobiFlight device, as this is not required by Circuit Avionics pilots.
We have removed the associated large red warning at the top of the Getting Started page.
What’s Next?
To round out these changes, we’ve started work on a new setup video showing the simpler onboarding process for new users.
We’re also improving our social channels as a way to keep pilots up to date, so please follow us on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Discord.
Discord has also become a useful way to send us Aircraft Profile requests. Please keep them coming, as they help us prioritise what to support next.
As usual, we have several new and updated Aircraft Profiles lined up, including requests received through Discord and email.
Worldwide shipping is available. All customs charges and fees are included in the final price.
This is a promotional link for which we may receive a small commission from eBay.
