Pilot Notes

Set the EFB option to sync BARO setting across both PFDs and the standby instrument.

The MobiFlight setting Automatically perform Retrigger Action with Run Mode should be disabled when using this profile. Failure to do so causes unwanted commands when the profile is Run.

BARO Controls

Push the knob for STD mode. When in STD mode, rotating the knob will alter the preset.

Baro mode can be set by the toggle switch.

We don't have any way to change the BARO mode (HPA/inHg) as displayed on the aircraft PFD (and thus the increments).

Use the Garmin GTC by the pilot's left knee, select PFD Settings, scroll down, and you'll see the option to change the BARO mode.

Minimums

Minimums is implemented for both RADIO and BARO modes, push the knob to reset.

Course 2

COURSE 2 is set as follows:

• Push COURSE knob — display dims, COURSE 2 is displayed.
• Dial desired course using the knob.
• Push COURSE knob — COURSE 1 is displayed, brightness returns to normal.

Speed Control

IAS/MACH can be either FMS-derived, or manual.

In FMS-derived mode, the IAS display will be dimmed. It cannot be changed by rotating the knob.

Push the IAS/MACH knob to get into manual IAS mode. The display reverts to normal brightness. In this mode, the IAS can be adjusted by rotating the knob.

Nav Source

NAV Source (NAV1/ NAV2 / FMS) must be selected on the Garmin GTC by the pilot's left knee:

On your hardware, LNAV and VOR LOC buttons both engage NAV. Ensure the correct source is selected before engaging NAV.

Autothrottle and TO (Takeoff Mode)

Before takeoff, the FD should be put into TO Mode.

This is commanded when N1 THR is pushed for 0.5 seconds.

LNAV and VNAV can also be armed before flight.

N1 THR and SPEED buttons are not otherwise used.

In climb, push LVL CHG to engage FLC (Flight Level Change) - the FD changes out of TO to the regular climb schedule.

If you are getting Autothrottle disconnecting, there is an EFB option to disable hardware inputs while Autothrottle is engaged.

Parking Brake

Parking Brake is tied to the F/D 2 switch and LED.

Important: The LED is also illuminated if the wheel chocks are in place. Be sure that the parking brake is actually engaged before removing wheel chocks!

Heading Sync

HDG knob PUSH syncs the heading bug to your current heading.
