2024-09-19 - V4

  • Altered BARO KNOB logic. Knob now adjusts single increments rather than latching left or right.

2024-07-08 - V3

  • PMDG have updated their 777 to version 2.0.36. Pilots should update via the PMDG Operations Center. As a result of changes made in this version, FSUIPC is no longer required.
  • AUTO CRUISE functionality was added to the Course display and knob, which are otherwise unused. To engage Auto Cruise, push the CRS knob. The current sim-rate is shown on the display. Push the knob again to disengage Auto Cruise and blank the display.
  • AUTO CRUISE functionality is disabled by default, to avoid inadvertant activation. To enable, check the box for DISP_CRS SIMRATE on the MobiFlight Output tab, and both PUSH_CRS lines on the Input tab.

Pilot Notes

The MobiFlight setting Automatically perform Retrigger Action with Run Mode should be disabled when using this profile. Failure to do so causes unwanted commands when the profile is Run.

Some displays show zeros when first loading in. This is an aircraft issue. Adjusting the relevant knob will properly initialise the display. To initialise V/S properly, engage V/S mode. Disengaging V/S will properly blank the display.

TOGA

TOGA is commanded when N1 THR is pushed for 1 second.

Disengage is linked to the yoke disconnect button. Push and hold for half a second for Autothrottle disconnect. Silence the alarms with a second push.

MINS

Finicky at the moment. The real 777 has spring-loaded knobs which return to the centre position when released. PMDG's hardware SDK is designed with this in mind. Under the current implementation, you should only move the MINS knobs a notch or two, then return them to the centre position once your desired setting is met.

It is hoped that a future update will accommodate standard encoder knobs, which are used by virtually all home cockpits. Circuit Avionics has submitted a ticket to PMDG, requesting this change.

Heading HOLD vs Heading SELECTED

This profile matches the functionality of the real Boeing 777 MCP, which has HDG SEL mapped to a push of the HDG knob. HDG HOLD is on the button below. This can be easily modded if the opposite implementation is desired.

Speed Intervene

Push the IAS knob, as on the real aircraft.

Altitude Intervene

Push the ALT KNOB, as on the real aircraft.

LONG PUSH of the ALT KNOB will toggle AUTO / 1000 ft increments.
