Profiles marked MSFS are compatible with both FS2020 and FS2024, where applicable
Function varies by aircraft and developer

The MobiFlight setting Automatically perform Retrigger Action with Run Mode should be disabled when using this profile. Failure to do so may cause unwanted commands when the profile is Run.
As an older aircraft, the Falcon 50 has a simpler and more hands-on autopilot system than many modern aircraft, and requires a little more attention from the pilot.
The Circuit Avionics hardware follows the logic of the Falcon 50 system rather than trying to make it behave like a modern autopilot panel. We highly recommend reading Contrail's Falcon 50 Autopilot documentation to familiarise yourself with how the system operates.
Push the BARO knob to set 29.92 inHg / 1013 hPa. There is no separate STD mode on this aircraft.
It is recommended to enable Baro Sync in the aircraft EFB options.
MINS is always in RADIO mode. Rotate the MINS knob to set the Decision Height (DH).
The MINS toggle switch is unused and available for reassignment.
Rotate the CRS knob to adjust CRS1. Push the CRS knob to switch to CRS2; push again to return to CRS1.
The Flight Director is activated automatically when an autopilot mode is armed, whether or not the autopilot itself is engaged. The F/D LED will illuminate when the Flight Director is active.
Because Flight Director operation is automatic on this aircraft, the F/D 1 toggle switch has no function.
Parking Brake is implemented on the F/D 2 switch and LED.
NAV Source is changed with a LONG PUSH (0.5 seconds) on either the LNAV or VOR LOC button.
The Range knob controls two different map displays.
For the HSI, the knob controls range when the HSI is in one of the ARC display modes. Use the MODE - / + buttons to change HSI display mode.

The Range knob also controls the MX20 moving map display. Ensure the smart functions at the bottom are showing "In" and "Out".

The Falcon 50 uses dedicated CLIMB, DESCEND and SPEED vertical modes. As these do not correspond directly with the labels on the Universal Autopilot, we have mapped them to controls which keep the functions easy to remember.
N1 THR controls CLIMB mode and SPEED controls DESCEND mode. These buttons sit above and below one another on the hardware, representing climb and descent.
The aircraft's SPEED mode is implemented on the LVL CHG button.
These modes follow the behaviour of the Falcon 50 autopilot itself. See the Contrail aircraft documentation for detailed operating procedures.
VNAV can only be actively used as a descent mode on the Falcon 50. During climb, the VNAV system provides advisory information rather than an active VNAV climb mode.
VNAV should first be programmed in the aircraft's GNS-XLS flight management computer (FMC).

Once the vertical profile has been configured, use the VNAV button on the hardware to arm the aircraft's VNAV descent mode.
LONG PUSH the N1 THR button to engage GA (Go Around) mode.
GA mode can also be selected before takeoff to provide Flight Director guidance for departure.
The Falcon 50 was not generally equipped with an autothrottle system. Contrail has included a simplified system as a quality-of-life feature.
For takeoff, advance the throttles and engage the Autothrottle.
During climb, the system maintains maximum climb thrust. In cruise, it maintains the current IAS.
The Autothrottle disengages for descent and is not available during the descent phase.
This is a basic assistance system rather than a full modern autothrottle. Its response is relatively slow, so it should not be relied upon where large or rapid thrust changes are required.
The following controls are unused and available for reassignment:
