MAS Magnetic Attachment System
Magnetic Mounts for Honeycomb Alpha + Bravo
Model: MAS1
MAS rubber-coated magnets provide a simple, secure way to mount compatible hardware and accessories directly onto your Honeycomb Alpha Flight Controls (yoke) or Honeycomb Bravo Throttle Quadrant. They are designed for use with Circuit Avionics hardware and can also be used with suitable third-party equipment.
The neodymium core is engineered to concentrate magnetic force at the contact surface, maximising holding strength on steel and iron surfaces.
The rubber coating protects both surfaces from scratches and provides grip to prevent unwanted movement.
Each magnet has a built-in screw, so installation is simple - just hand-tighten it straight into the existing screw holes on your Honeycomb unit. The only tool you need is an Allen key to remove the original screws first, and there is one included in this pack.
Compatibility

Safety Warning
- Keep away from children under 14.
- Keep away from pacemakers and other implanted medical devices.
- Fingers and skin can get pinched or trapped between attracting magnets - handle with care.
- Do not allow magnets to snap together at speed.
- Keep away from magnetically sensitive equipment and magnetic storage media.
Usage with Circuit Avionics Hardware
MAS was designed for use with Circuit Avionics hardware.
It is not necessary to remove the rubber feet from the underside of the hardware, as the magnets provide sufficient holding force with the feet left in place.
If using MAS with the Circuit Avionics Radio Stack, position the hardware so the stand spans two of the Large magnets. This will provide greater stability.
Usage with Third-Party Hardware
MAS can be used with a wide range of third-party hardware and accessories.
Many electronic devices, including Circuit Avionics hardware designed for use with MAS, are not magnetically sensitive and can be used normally with the mounts.
Some equipment, however, may use Hall-effect sensors, magnetic encoders or other components that respond to magnetic fields. In these cases, the magnets may affect axis positions, sensor readings or other functions while the equipment is nearby.
Users should verify that their own third-party hardware operates correctly when used around strong magnets. Circuit Avionics does not warrant compatibility with any particular third-party device and accepts no responsibility for the use of MAS with third-party hardware.
Installation
- Using the included Allen key, loosen in an anticlockwise direction and remove the 6 screws from the top of your Honeycomb Alpha Flight Controls or Honeycomb Bravo Throttle Quadrant.
- Screw in the 6 magnets clockwise by hand. The two sizes are interchangeable, so long as they alternate.
Usage
Position your Circuit Avionics controller or other hardware above the magnets and gently lower it into place.
Caution: The controller will snap into position. Keep fingers and objects clear of the gap as it connects.
Removal
- Apply gentle upward pressure to break the magnetic connection between the magnets and your controller.
- Unscrew the magnets anticlockwise by hand.
- Refit the original screws using the Allen key, tightening clockwise.
